Pictured below is Penelope age 13. I got her through an animal rescue group when she was 7-months of age. It took many months to be able to even touch her or pet her. Gradually I gained her trust with food on a spoon. It was quite a challenge but we both won.

The next three photos are of Buddy, a 2 year old male, who was brought to our door by two little boys when he was only 5 weeks of age. They were begging us to take him because they weren't allowed to return home with him. When I held him he clung to me and purred. That was all she wrote. He has been running this house ever since.

We no longer put decorations on our Christmas tree either.
